By the way, the Peace, Not War entry below is kind of a coming out for me on this weblog. I have a number of strong beliefs and opinions about politics and other such topics, and I enjoy discussing them, but this weblog is not normally the forum I use to discuss them. Sometimes, though, events spur me to speak out.
And just so noone thinks I’m holding anything else back: I’m a bleeding heart liberal athiest with a scientific worldview and a humanist ethic who loves natural resources and thinks we’re overpopulating and overusing the world to the point where it will no longer support our species in a future that is much closer than we think. But I’m optimistic about it. <grin>
